Waiting for a Fix

Three decades of mandatory minimums for drug offenses helped turn America into the most incarceration-happy nation on earth. Efforts to reverse the effects of these laws have had uneven results. I worked as a designer for reporter Evan Hill’s exhaustive look at the laws and attempts to undue the harm they caused.
